BulletProof II Locals, January 15, 2011 Round 2

Adib (Blackwings) Vs. Auri (Gladiator Beasts)

Adib won the roll and will be going first.

Adib activated Black Whirlwind, and then summoned Blackwing – Shura the Blue Flame. Whirlwind’s effect added Blackwing – Kalut the Moon Shadow to his hand. Adib then set one card to his back field to end his turn.

Auri summoned Gladiator Beast Laquari, and then set three cards to his back field to end his turn.

Adib summoned another Shura, and Auri flipped Book of Moon to turn it facedown. Shura attacked into Laquari destroying both monsters. Adib then set one card facedown and ended his turn.

Auri summoned Gladiator Beast Darius, and Adib flipped Solemn Warning to negate the summon. Auri set one card to end his turn.

Adib flipped his facedown Shura, then set one card, and attacked directly.

Auri drew and ended.

Adib summoned Blackwing – Blizzard the Far North and Auri conceded the game.


Both players go into their side decks.

Auri will be starting the second game.

Auri summoned Gladiator Beast Equeste, then set two cards and ended his turn.

Adib activated Giant Trunade to send back Auri’s set cards to his hand. Blackwing – Bora the Spear was summoned and attacked into Equeste. Adib then set four cards to his back field to end his turn.

Auri set one monster, and then set three cards to his back field to end his turn.

Bora attacked into Auri’s set Gladiator Beast Hoplomus. At the end of the battle phase, Hoplomus was sent back into the deck, but Adib flipped Solemn Warning to negate the effect of the summon. Adib ended his turn.

Auri activated Cold Wave, and then summoned Gladiator Beast Laquari. Laquari attacked into Bora. Laquari was sent back into the deck and special summoned Gladiator Beast Retiari at the end of the battle phase. Retiari’s effect removed Adib’s Bora from the game.

Adib drew and ended his turn.

Auri summoned Gladiator Beast Bestiari. Retiari attacked directly, followed by Bestiari. Retiari was sent back into the deck to special summon Equeste; its effect activated, targeting his other Equeste. But Adib flipped Skill Drain to negate its effect. Auri then sent Bestiari and Equeste back into the deck to fusion summon Gladiator Beast Gyzarus. Auri ended his turn.

Adib set one monster, followed by two set cards to end his turn.

Auri set one monster, and Gyzarus attacked, and Adib flipped Icarus Attack, tributing his facedown Shura to target Auri’s monsters. Auri flipped Starlight Road, and Adib flipped Solemn Warning. Icarus resolved and destroyed Auri’s monsters.

Adib drew and ended.

Auri flipped Gladiator Proving Ground to add Retiari to his hand. Retiari was summoned and Adib flipped Solemn Judgment to negate the summon. Auri then set one card to end his turn.

Adib activated Allure of Darkness, drawing two cards and removing Dark Armed Dragon. Then he set one card to end his turn.

Auri drew and ended his turn.

Adib summoned Blackwing – Bora the Spear, and Auri flipped Bottomless Trap Hole, and Adib flipped Icarus Attack to destroy Auri’s set Torrential Tribute and Book of Moon. Adib then ended his turn.

Auri set one monster to end his turn.

Adib also set one monster to end his turn.

Auri drew and ended his turn.

Adib set one monster to end his turn.

Auri activated Monster Reborn to special summon consecrated Light in defense mode. (*It should be noted here that Adib’s face-up Skill Drain was negating Light’s effect, so Adib should have no problem*)

Adib drew and ended.

Auri set one card and ended his turn.

Adib flipped Blackwing – Shura the Blue Flame in attack mode. He then tributed his facedown Blackwing – Kalut the Moon Shadow to summon Cyber Dragon. Cyber Dragon attacked into Light and Adib ended his turn.

Auri activated Dark Hole to destroy all the monsters on the field. Gladiator Beast Bestiari was summoned and it was lost to Adib’s Bottomless Trap Hole.

Adib summoned Shura and attacked directly.

Auri set one monster, followed by two cards to end his turn.

The current score was Auri’s 50 to Adib’s 6100.

Adib drew and ended; fearing a facedown Hoplomus.

Auri summoned Laquari, then special summoned Test Tiger. Laquari attacked into Shura, and Adib flipped Book of Moon to turn it facedown.

Adib activated Black Whirlwind, then summoned Kalut, and Auri flipped Book of Moon to turn Kalut facedown. Shura attacked into Test Tiger, and then he set one card to end his turn.

Auri summoned Consecrated Light. Laquari was flipped face up and then attacked into Kalut. (*Again Skill Drain was face-up; so Light’s effect was negated*)

Adib activated Monster Reborn to special summon his Cyber Dragon, and it was lost to Auri’s set Bottomless Trap Hole.  Adib ended his turn.

Auri turned his Light to defense mode. Another Laquari was summoned and Adib conceded the game.


Adib will be starting off game three.

Adib summoned Blackwing – Shura the Blue Flame, then set two cards to his back field to end his turn.

Auri set one monster, then two set cards to his back field as well.

Shura attacked into Auri’s set Consecrated Light.

Gladiator Beast Darius was summoned. Test Tiger was special summoned. Test Tiger’s effect activated; sending back Darius to special summon Murmillo. Murmillo’s effect destroyed Shura. Murmillo attacked directly, and at the end of the battle phase, Murmillo was sent back into the deck to special summon Gladiator Beast Laquari. Auri then set one card to his back field to end his turn.

Adib flipped Giant Trunade, and Auri flipped his Solemn Judgment to negate the effect. Cyber Dragon was special summoned, and Auri flipped Bottomless Trap Hole.

Auri summoned Gladiator Beast Bestiari. Bestiari attacked directly, followed by Laquari. At the end of the battle phase, Bestiari was sent back into the deck to special summon Retiari; removing Shura from Adib’s graveyard, and Laquari was sent back into the deck to special summon Bestiari; its effect destroyed Adib’s set Solemn Judgment.

The score was Adib’s 3600 to Auri’s 4000.

Adib special summoned Cyber Dragon, and it was turned facedown when it attacked into Light. Adib then set one monster to end his turn.

Auri summoned Laquari. Laquari attacked into Adib’s set Cyber Dragon, and Bestiari attacked into Adib’s set Kalut. Retiari attacked directly. At the end of the battle phase, Retiari was sent back into the deck to special summon Hoplomus. Bestiari was sent back into the deck to special summon Retiari; removing Cyber Dragon. Laquari, Hoplomus, and Retiari were sent back into the deck to fusion summon Gladiator Beast Heraklinos.

Adib set one monster to end his turn.

Heraklinos attacked into Adib’s set Sirocco.

Adib set another monster to end his turn.

Gladiator Beast Samnite was summoned. Heraklinos attacked into Adib’s set Gale, and Samnite attacked directly. At the end of the battle phase; Samnite was sent back into the deck to special summon Retiari; removing Kalut from the graveyard.

Adib set one monster, followed by one set card to end his turn.

Auri summoned Laquari, and Adib conceded the game.


Auri defeats Adib 2-1!
