Eric (Formula Monarch) Vs. Khalil (X-Sabers)
Eric won the opening roll and will be going first.
Eric drew and passed.
Khalil set one card to his back field, followed by one set monster to end his turn.
Eric activated One for One; discarding Fishborg Blaster to special summon Treeborn Frog in defense mode. Treeborn was tributed for Caius the Shadow Monarch. Khalil flipped Solemn Warning to negate its summon.
Khalil flipped his set Super-Mega Nimble Hamster. Its effect special summoned XX-Saber Darksoul in facedown defense mode. Hamster attacked directly. Then Khalil set another monster to end his turn.
Eric special summoned Treeborn Frog during his standby phase. Treeborn was tributed for Vanity’s Fiend. Vanity’s Fiend attacked Hamster. Eric then ended his turn.
Khalil drew and passed.
Vanity’s Fiend attacked into Khalil’s set XX-Saber Darksoul. Khalil added XX-Saber Fulhelmknight to his hand during the end phase.
Khalil set one card to his back field and passed his turn.
Vanity’s Fiend attacked another set XX-Saber Darksoul. Khalil added XX-Saber Boggart Knight to his hand during the end phase.
Khalil summoned XX-Saber Fulhelmknight. Then he set another card to his back field to end his turn.
Eric activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Khalil’s set Gottoms’ Emergency Call. Vanity’s Fiend attacked into Fulhelmknight and Khalil activated Fulhelmknight’s effect to negate an attack. Eric then ended his turn.
Khalil activated Gold Sarcophagus to remove Book of Moon to reclaim it in two turns. Fulhelmknight was switched to defense mode and he ended his turn.
Eric activated Pot of Duality; revealing Mobius the Frost Monarch, Caius the Shadow Monarch, and Battle Fader. Eric added Battle Fader and added the rest back into the deck. Then he summoned Genex Undine, its effect sent Treeborn Frog to the graveyard from the deck to add Genex Controller from his deck to his hand. Undine attacked into Fulhelmknight, and Vanity’s Fiend attacked directly.
Khalil summoned XX-Saber Boggart Knight. Boggart Knight attacked Undine. Then he set one card to his back field and ended his turn.
Eric summoned Genex Controller. Vanity’s Fiend attacked into Boggart Knight, and Genex Controller attacked directly.
Khalil drew for his turn and added Book of Moon to his hand during his standby phase by Gold Sarcophagus. Book of Moon was activated to turn Vanity’s Fiend facedown. XX-Saber Boggart Knight was summoned; its effect special summoned X-Saber Airbellum. Two copies of XX-Saber Faultroll were special summoned. First Faultroll’s effect special summoned XX-Saber Darksoul from his graveyard in defense mode. Airbellum was tuned to Faultroll to synchro summon XX-Saber Gottoms. Gottoms’s effect activated, tributing Darksoul to discard Monster Reborn from Eric’s hand. Next, Boggart Knight was tributed, to discard Soul Exchange from Eric’s hand. Khalil activated the second Faultroll’s effect to special summoned XX-Saber Fulhelmknight in attack mode. Gottoms attacked into Genex Controller. Fulhelmknight attacked into Eric’s set Vanity’s Fiend, its effect special summoned Darksoul in defense mode. Faultroll attacked directly, and Eric special summoned Battle Fader to end the battle phase.
During Khalil’s Main Phase 2, Gottom’s effect activated again; tributing Fulhelmknight to discard Dark Hole from Eric’s hand, and Darksoul was tributed to discard Eric’s last card; Light and Darkness Dragon. During his end phase, Khalil added XX-Saber Boggart Knight, XX-Saber Fulhelmknight, and XX-Saber Faultroll to his hand from his deck.
Eric special summoned Treeborn Frog during his standby phase. Eric discarded Foolish Burial from his hand to special summon Fishborg Blaster from his graveyard. Fishborg was tuned to Treeborn to synchro summon Formula Synchron. Khalil flipped Solemn Judgment; dropping his life down to 200 life points to negate Formula’s summon. Eric then activated Glow-Up Bulb’s effect; sending Mobius the Frost Monarch from the top of his deck to the graveyard to special summon it in defense mode. Bulb was tuned to Battle Fader to synchro summon another Formula Synchron; drawing one card for its effect. Formula Synchron was tributed for Caius the Shadow Monarch; its effect targeted itself; dealing enough damage to Khalil for game!

Eric summoned Genex Undine, its effect sent Treeborn Frog from the deck to the graveyard to add Genex Controller to his hand. Undine attacked into Khalil’s set XX-Saber Darksoul. Eric then ended his turn. Darksoul added XX-Saber Fulhelmknight to Khalil’s hand during the end phase.
Khalil summoned XX-Saber Fulhelmknight. Fulhelmknight attacked into Undine. Then he set one card to his back field to end his turn.
Eric special summoned Treeborn Frog during his standby phase. Eric then activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Khalil’s set Bottomless Trap Hole. Treeborn was tributed for Caius the Shadow Monarch, its effect removed Fulhelmknight from the game. Caius attacked directly.
Khalil drew and ended his turn.
Eric special summoned Treeborn Frog again. Caius made another direct attack. During his second main phase, Treeborn was tributed for Mobius the Frost Monarch. Its effect destroyed Khalil’s set Curse Seal of the Forbidden Spell. Eric then passed his turn.
Khalil activated Dark Hole, then he set one card to his back field to end his turn.
Eric special summoned Treeborn Frog in attack mode. Genex Controller was summoned. Both Genex Controller and Treeborn Frog attacked directly, dropping Khalil’s life to 1700. During his second main phase, Genex Controller was tuned to Treeborn Frog to synchro summon Armory Arm.
Khalil set two cards to his back field to end his turn.
Eric activated Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy Khalil’s set Book of Moon. Eric attacked directly with Armory Arm for game!
