Does That Target?

Hey guys,

Today I want to talk to you about card effects that do indeed target. So I'm going to refer you all to Pojo's Masterdramon's post of:

The List of Things that Targets

So, before heading to a tournament and you're wondering if this and this targets or not, give this list a look and all will be solved.

This list should be updated to Hidden Arsenal 2.

Quickdraw Synchron....

Hey guys,

How was your holidays?

So something I observed, if you have a Quickdraw Synchron, please remember that it can ONLY GO FOR  SYNCHROS WITH 'SYNCHRON' AS A TUNER, NOTHING ELSE.

So none of that,

'I special summon Quickdraw, normal summon (*insert level 1-4 monster*), and synchro (stardust, brionac, goyo, black rose, etc.)'

NO

Just no, it doesn't work that way. Please read Quickdraw Synchron closely before you synchro.

Merry X-Mas!

Merry Christmas to everybody, or should I say Happy Christmakwanzakah to all!

Just a few small ruling conflicts I've observed;

  • Just because it says Synchron in it's name, does not automatically mean it's a tuner. (A cookie to whoever knows what card I'm talking about)
  • If Red Dragon Archfiend attacks a recruiter in defense mode, (Mystic Tomato, Giant Rat, etc.) you DO NOT get to special summon another monster from your deck.
  • If you try to special summon a monster, look for a face-up Archlord Krystia or a face-up Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo on your opponent's field. People are special summoning monster, and being told they cannot. They ask why, and we just point to the Krystia or the Fossil and they asks what the hell does it do. They realize, scoops the game and storms out.
This is not a ruling conflict, but a ridiculous play that I've witness;

Player A has tributed summoned Super-Ancient Dinobeast. Player B has flipped Solemn Judgment, then Player A proceeded to flip his own Solemn Judgment!
(This didn't make sense to me at the time since both players were at full life.)

Then Player A activated Monster Reborn to revive his tributed Dinosaur, drew one card for Dinobeast's effect, and attacked for game.

I don't know what was the worse move; Solemn-ing a Dinobeast, or Solemn-ing back....

And indeed he did draw that miracle, Pot of Avarice!

Nemo activated Pot of Avarice, but Ricky revealed that he had D.D. Crow in hand, and that was enough for Nemo to concede the game.

An exciting match where both sides went back and forth for control of the game. The MVP of this match was Formula Synchron; as it was summoned multiples times, even during the course of one match, it was summoned numerous times. But in the end, Ricky seized control of the game and has defeated Nemo 2-0!
